Background
A mysterious but legendary figure of 18th-century Europe. He may have been a great mage who operated in the shadows of French high society on the eve of the Revolution, or perhaps an unrivalled con artist. This remarkable man behaved like royalty, but also provided free medical treatment in the slums, earning the adoration of the common people. He was arrested for masterminding the "Affair of the Diamond Necklace," a tremendous scandal that involved Marie Antoinette, the queen of France. However, he was released, an occasion greeted with thunderous applause from the common people of France. In pre-revolutionary Paris, he was considered a hero who toyed with the nobility while saving the poor.
Profile 1
Height/Weight: 188cm, 85kg Origin: history, "The Queen's Necklace" by Dumas, and others Region: Europe Alignment: Chaotic-Balanced Sub-Attribute: Human Gender: Male Dumas père portrayed him as a dark hero in his story, just like Monte Cristo. Hearing that, Cagliostro would likely smile, while Monte Cristo would almost certainly be displeased. ◆ His flames are phantoms, illusions which attack the mind. Their effectiveness is accordingly reduced against anything which cannot think, though they will still work on machines if they have computational circuits.
Profile 2
Though released from the Bastille, Count Cagliostro was ultimately sentenced to exile. Hated by both nobility and the Church, he was eventually captured in Rome and convicted of multiple crimes, including involvement in an international conspiracy to overthrow European monarchies, membership in an illegal association, and heretical speech, ultimately receiving a life sentence. There was no hero named Cagliostro. The man the nobles of the time discovered was in truth a wretched swindler named Giuseppe Balsamo. Or so it is said... But no. Giuseppe Balsamo himself was himself a fabrication, a mirage, a fallen hero, created by nobles who feared the outcome of the revolution. The truth is that Count Cagliostro was a manipulator of the Mystics that lie in the shadows of the world—a mage.
Profile 3
...Which is also, in fact, incorrect. In actuality, he was not even a mage. He may have possessed extensive knowledge of various Mystics, the only mystery he truly mastered was that of Magic Crests that granted immortality and enhanced regeneration. He never once used magecraft to stir up trouble within the world. Through a grand deception employing his vast knowledge and skill, he controlled the minds of others, acting as the fictional figure Alessandro di Cagliostro, and gained great honor. ...At least, that is what this game will go with. He is an elusive figure whose nature can change at any given moment. In fact, he may not even have any one true identity. Those who knew him in life are said to have called him a hollow shell. Diversionary Tactic: EX Count Cagliostro is a true master of disguise. He can even disguise his class and abilities. After expending a specific catalyst and investing a considerable amount of time, and if he succeeds on a LUC check, enemies will believe he is an ally. Enemies can attempt a resistance check, but since this is not a magecraft effect, Anti-Magic skills are ineffective. I Am Acharat: EX The practice of wielding mysteries such as alchemy, astrology, necromancy, the esoteric teachings of Kabbalah, and the secret rites of ancient Egypt...which is not what this is. The true nature of this skill is deception. It is a grand deception, a supernatural feat that could be called a great technique, capable of manipulating royalty and nobility, and even dazzling the eyes of ordinary mages.
Profile 4
Material Casting (Fake): EX A Skill based on the "Affair of the Diamond Necklace"...is not what this is. To achieve his schemes, Cagliostro crafts the necessary items himself. This Skill is an alteration of Item Construction and is particularly useful for forging counterfeits and modifying existing objects. This Skill was also used to modify fragments of the Foreign God—soulless vessels (of Olga Marie)—into mechanized avengers. (They were not assembled from fragments, but rather, each discovered fragment of the god was minutely adjusted so it could function independently.) Hero's Archenemy (Fake): E++ A Skill indicating a formidable foe that bars the heroes' (or anti-heroes') path. While typically a hidden ability possessed by Demonic Beasts, dragonkind, demonic entities, or anti-heroes, this restriction does not apply when the term (Fake) is associated. In events that went unrecorded in history, Cagliostro shared a deep connection with Monte Cristo, clashing with him on multiple occasions. As a result, he came to view himself as Monte Cristo's arch-nemesis, leading him to acquire this skill. (The fact that he framed Marie Antoinette also appears to have been a factor in this acquisition.) Althotas Continuum: C Cagliostro possesses one genuine Mystic. It is a secret art learned from his childhood mentor, the alchemist Althotas: the embodiment of immortality. In truth, it is eternal youth and enhanced regeneration rather than true immortality.
Profile 5
『Rébellion au Monde』 Rank: B-EX NP Type: Anti-City/Chaotic Range: 1-50 Maximum Targets: 500 Death to Order, Chaos throughout the World. Combined with the phantom shadow of the revolution, a vortex of magical energy sweeps through the surrounding area. It is an embodiment of the mentality, the very purpose of which is destruction and rebirth, an imitation of the mindscape. It is similar to, yet distinct from, a Reality Marble. it is also accompanied by a Special Attack effect against order, making this Noble Phantasm's true value the destruction of order. While never permanent, it twists concepts related to order into grotesque distortions, including laws, ethics, and societal norms. It can even temporarily rewrite the rules of the Holy Grail War itself. However, the true ability of this Noble Phantasm is fundamentally unused in this game. Furthermore, lengthy rituals, behind-the-scenes maneuvering, and significant resource investment would be needed to achieve its intended effect.
Profile 6
In Ordeal Call II, he served as the final Foreign Disciple. He turned into Final Apostle Count Cagliostro in his attempt to assassinate Chaldea's Master. Ultimately, Master and a group of Avengers defeated him, leading to his complete withdrawal. ◆ Though he claims an immortal body, in truth he possesses an ageless physique with extremely potent regenerative abilities. However, the immortality he demonstrated in Ordeal Call II, in which he was able to revive even after his head was severed, was simply an exception. In Ordeal Call II, he was invited by Limbo to be a participant in the Heian-kyo Singularity/Pseudo-Singularity in the Imperial Holy Grail War as a Servant (posing as a Caster). There, Limbo tampered with his Spirit Origin and Spirit Core, which transformed him into malignant data that was even harder to kill and easier to multiply. (As this alteration signifies the irreversible dissolution of the Spirit Origin, the Heian-kyo Holy Grail appears to have ruled that the Servant by the name of Cagliostro was destroyed by Limbo.) It is presumed that Cagliostro, as malignant data, infiltrated the Master of Chaldea's mind in fragments during his contact with Limbo in Heian-kyo and upon his first encounter with the elements. Perhaps because it was malignant data based on Limbo's shikigami, there were occasional instances when the nature of Limbo's shikigami mixed in with the Spirit Origin would surface. Changes in his demeanor were particularly noticeable and a pentagram (Douman's seal) appeared on his forehead.
