Huang Feihu is a character from the "Investiture of the Gods." He is said to be a martial arts expert who rode a special bull named Wǔsè Shén Niú, the Five-Colored Divine Ox. He was originally known as Governing Prince Wucheng and served King Zhou of the Yin dynasty, but when his wife and younger sister were killed in consequence of Daji's machinations, he chose to join King Wu of Xiqi, taking his entire family with him. On his journey to do so, he broke through five checkpoints while fighting wave after wave of enemies. After joining Taigong Wang's Xiqi forces, he was named Founding Prince Wucheng and embarked on several campaigns with the aim of taking down King Zhou, but was killed in action. He has four sons: Huang Tianhua, Huang Tianlu, Huang Tianjue, and Huang Tianxiang.

Huang Feihu is a major character in the "Investiture of the Gods." A member of the distinguished Huang family that served the Shang (Yin) Dynasty for seven generations, he served King Zhou, commanding power like a general under the title of "Governing Prince Wucheng." Everything changed, however, when the king married Su Daji, a fox monster in disguise. Influenced by Daji's charms, the king began to commit atrocities, deteriorating the land's peace. When the drunk Daji revealed her true form at the imperial court and tried to eat people, Huang Feihu's golden-eyed divine warbler scarred her face before Huang Feihu realized who she truly was. This led Daji to hold a grudge against Huang Feihu, leading Daji to force Feihu's wife Lady Jia to commit suicide, as well as for King Zhou to kill his concubine Huang Fei (Feihu's younger sister). This incident brought about Huang Feihu's rebellion against the Shang.

Upon swearing his allegiance to the Zhou army, Huang Feihu was granted the title Founding Prince Wucheng. He led the charge of his companions Taigong Wang (Jiang Ziya), Nezha, and Huang Tianhua, and fought against every force sent by King Zhou, with the group setting their sights on Zhaoge, Yin's capital, to take down Daji and the king of Shang. Huang Feihu defeated various enemies along the way. However, with Zhaoge just on the horizon, they were confronted in Mianchi by its resident guardian, the Shang general Zhang Kui. With his wife Gao Lanying's Baobei weapon, Zhang Kui took Haung Feihu's life. This was all due to Haung Feihu rushing into battle in his attempt to repay his companions for avenging his son, Huang Tianhua. After Feihu's wife and sister were avenged by those that remained, Taigong Wang sealed Feihu's soul. Posthumously, Feihu was awarded the title and position of Dongyue Taishan Tianqi Rensheng Dadi (roughly, "The Equal to Heaven, Benevolent and Sacred Great Emperor of the Eastern Summit"), overseer of fate for the souls in hell.

Huang Family's Bond: B Huang Feihu's family members were especially prominent characters who played active roles in "Investiture of the Gods." However, many of them were unable to participate in the final battle against Daji and King Zhou, Feihu included. As if shouldering that regret, Huang Feihu as a Servant has manifested strongly connected with many members of his family, such as his eldest son, Huang Tianhua. He can borrow and use the powers of his family to some extent, as if they were his retainers or familiars. However, his family members typically cannot show themselves as independent entities. There may be times where his sons can be seen during battle, but that only happens due to their fighting spirit temporarily increasing. There may be instances where Feihu can hear his wife's voice, too...or perhaps not. Divine Golden-Eyed Warbler: A Jin yanshen ying. A divine warbler in a red birdcage said to have been obtained by Huang Feihu from the northern sea. One night, when King Zhou and Daji held a banquet and the attendees were all drunk to oblivion, Daji reverted back to her original form and wandered the area to pick out victims to eat. Huang Feihu, merely tipsy, sensed an ominous presence and sprung into action, releasing the warbler. The bird's eyes flashed red and attacked the fox spirit and scarred her face. It was this incident that caused Su Daji to hold a grudge against Feihu.

『Huang Feihu's Five Checkpoint Resistance, Tianhua's Sword of Mo Ye』 Rank: A Type: Anti-Personnel Range: 1-10 Maximum Target: 1 person Huang Feihu Hanwuguan, Tianhua Mo Ye Baojian. A Noble Phantasm that is a partial embodiment from the episode of Huang Feihu breaking through five checkpoints when he defected from Yin. It's similar to Ushiwakamaru's "The Wandering Tales of Shana-oh." As a Servant, Huang Feihu is able to borrow powers from those who helped him during this incident, his family members in particular. The following happened at one of the checkpoints called Tong Pass: The checkpoint was guarded by General Chen Tong, a former subordinate of Huang Feihu who also held a grudge against him. Chen Tong and Huang Feihu locked spears, and Feihu had the advantage. Chen Tong realized he couldn't win, so he fled and flung his Fire Dragon's Dart projectile—granted to him by a sage—at the pursuing Huang Feihu. Huang Feihu fell from his divine ox, and by the time his companions came to his side, he was already dead. While his family grieved, Feihu’s eldest son, Huang Tianhua, arrived to save his father. Missing since the age of three, Tianhua had trained under Daode Zhenjun for the past thirteen years. Using medicinal elixirs given by Daode Zhenjun, Huang Feihu was brought back to life. Tianhua later learned his mother and aunt were killed by King Zhou and became enraged, confronting Chen Tong together with his father. During the battle against Chen Tong, Tianhua absorbs the Fire Dragon Dart into a mysterious flower basket, and manages to cut Chen Tong's head using the Sword of Mo Ye, another gift from Daode Zhenjun. Mo Ye is a treasured sword from the mountain where Daode Zhenjun resided; a Baobei that is powerful enough to cut off a person's head from the light it emits. As a Servant, Huang Feihu is able to borrow and wield the sword as his Noble Phantasm, just like in legend, because it is originally his son Huang Tianhua's possession. As a side note, it's unknown how this sword relates to another blade bearing the Mo Ye name—known in Japanese as Bakuya.

Character in FGO He is the head of his family and loyal warrior who values family bonds. However, he is constantly haunted by the thought of what true loyalty is. While he abandoned Shang after his wife and sister were murdered, Feihu is constantly depicted in the stories to be hesitant and lost even while he conquers the checkpoints on his way to join the Zhou army. He knew logically that King Zhou was the rightful monarch of the Shang dynasty, and as a family member who loyalty served the dynasty for seven generations, he questioned whether his abandonment was just. He also knew King Zhou's many atrocities and that the murder of his wife and sister were rightfully inexcusable, yet he wondered whether that warranted him abandoning his position as the king's retainer. Taigong Wang and others constantly reinforced Feihu, saying that the king sealed his own fate through his evil and treacherous acts, causing the heart of his people to distance themselves from the king, including his retainer. Huang Feihu accepted that justification and fought with the Zhou army, yet deep down he continued to question what was right and honorable as a warrior. As a Servant manifested in Chaldea, Huang Feihu realizes that those lingering thoughts have not disappeared, but rather have become more pronounced. It is understandable, as a Servant can't choose their own Master. There is no guarantee that the Master before him would not be perilous like King Zhou... If that were the case, what should Huang Feihu do? What would be the right thing to do? The warrior who believes family is the most important thing in the world is constantly conflicted with such uncertainty, and carefully watches Master to determine which type they will turn out to be.
