Background
A military commander during the end of the Han dynasty. Chen Gong was born in East Wuyang County, Dong Commandery of the Yan Province (present-day Shen County in Liaocheng, Shandong Province). He is a military tactician who made a name for himself during China's warring period. Initially, he served the warlord Cao Cao. After gaining his lord's trust, Chen Gong defected, joining Lu Bu, who was widely considered to be a terrible menace to China during this turbulent time. Together, they fought Cao Cao for dominance of the land. After multiple defeats, both Chen Gong and Lu Bu died at the city of Xiapi. It was said that their trials and executions were personally overseen by Cao Cao.

Height/Weight: 182cm, 60kg Origin: History, Romance of the Three Kingdoms Region: China Alignment: Chaotic-Good Sub-Attribute: Human Gender: Male "I'm a tactician, so of course I'm exceptional at using people. For me, the enjoyment of using people is an added benefit."

『Two-Pronged Formation』 Rank: C NP Type: Anti-Army Range: 10 - 60 Maximum Targets: 1 - 60 Spare parts left over from the creation of God Force...a micro magical circuit accelerator that is noticed by no one... This is Chen Gong's heretical Noble Phantasm that temporarily super-enhances allies with super-increased ATK and super-increased maximum output. It sacrifices one of his own men to inflict damage to the enemy. In short, it's Stella using someone else's life. It is the worst. "My strongest shall face the enemy's strongest. What would be left is the skirmish between weaker soldiers. The strategy for such a battle will be simple..." Chen Gong often says such chilling things as he looks down on the scattered enemy lines caused by the generals' explosive clash. Because his tactics leave such a terrible impression on others, he uses a magecraft bamboo scroll from the ancient Xia Dynasty to cast an illusion that makes observers believe he shot some sort of powerful arrow that caused the enemy front to explode.
Profile 3
A sadist that would even put Lu Bu to shame. He may look scholarly, but he's aggressive. He suppresses any fear he has with reason and logic on the battlefield, and maintains an ironclad focus by putting up a gallant front. He is a valiant soldier and a coldhearted tactician, stubborn and steadfast in his beliefs. He has the ability to fight squarely, but he considers betrayal and sneak attacks as obvious strategies if it means he can win. While he takes in others' opinions and input, he rejects them all by saying he does not agree, then thoroughly crushes any opposition. The way he does not consider others' feelings must make him look like an inhuman machine. He is a talented military strategist, but he was first a master with the bow and arrow. But bows and arrows alone cannot pave the way to domination. Concluding that an individual's military power is limited, Chen Gong abandoned the bow and studied military strategy. However, his premature assumption was crushed the moment he saw Lu Bu's attempt at domination through nothing more than an individual's military power. From then on, Chen Gong remained beside Lu Bu.
Profile 4
Tactician's Advice: B++ The reason for the "++" is that he was able to make Lu Bu obey him. This may mean that Chen Gong can advise his liege lord in a greater capacity than even Zhuge Liang. Tactician's Cherished Desire: A Chen Gong charges through the battlefield with the treacherous hero Lu Bu. Chen Gong may be relentless and calculating, but even he possesses the conviction and passion of a warrior. He soulfully vows to die for and alongside his lord. In other words, a tactician's cherished desire. This is a limited Hero Creation skill that can be used only on Berserker-Class Servants.
Profile 5
Chen Gong's unknown birth has made it so that, in the world of Fate, he is a descendant of China's oldest civilization, the Xia Dynasty, where he is an engineer who inherited all the literature and techniques of the Dynasty. Yet, the Xia Dynasty's weapons are not something a mere human can handle. They cannot be handled unless Mystics (that is, magical circuits) are inside one's body, and Chen Gong initially mocked it as useless knowledge. However, when he saw Lu Bu emanating intense lightning from his whole body, he knew he found a fitting target, and he began working on developing a Chinese-style gadget. As Lu Bu was starting to get tormented by his uncontrollable ardor, the weapons that Chen Gong prepared for him worked well, with the added benefit of helping him control his anger. This led Lu Bu to trust Chen Gong even more.
Profile 6
His wish upon the Holy Grail is a complex one. There is a part of him, a resigned lifetime ambition, that wants to govern a nation and create his notion of an ideal society. At the same time, there is another side of him that wants to serve who he considers the ideal lord until the very end. Chen Gong may have an aggressive personality, but he is a realist, and as a person who hates unnecessary work, modern society turned out to be the answer. "Ah, so society turned out this way. That's fine. If less than half of the population is dying unnecessarily, I'd call that a win." Thus, since becoming a Servant, Chen Gong's desire as a tactician has been prioritized, and he holds high expectations for his Master and employer. His hope is that Master is able to breathe life into the plans he abandoned in the past.
