The Battle Cats: the best Cat Combo for each effect

219 Cat Combos across 27 effects. The size tier alone sets how strong a combo is, so the best one for each effect is the biggest tier that needs the fewest Cats.

The Battle Cats has 219 Cat Combos across 27 effects. Within any one effect, a combo's size tier alone sets its value: every Small combo for an effect grants the same amount, every Medium the same larger amount, and so on. The best combo for an effect is simply the biggest tier, and among those, the one that takes the fewest Cats.

The best combo for every effect

Effects ranked by how many combos grant them. "Best value" is the largest bonus any combo for that effect grants, as the Cat Combos page lists it, with its size tier:

What each tier is worth

For the 11 effects that come in three or more tiers, the value at each tier. A bigger tier always grants more, never the same:

The step between tiers differs from effect to effect, so read the row for the effect you want rather than assuming a pattern. An effect with no Large or XL combo tops out at the last value in its row.

How big combos are

65% of all combos, 143 of them, need exactly 2 Cats. 19 need only one, and the largest need 5.

Small is by far the most common tier: 149 combos, 68% of the list. Only 5 are XL.

Picking combos for a lineup

Tier first, then Cat count

Two combos for the same effect and tier are worth exactly the same, so the one that uses fewer Cats, or Cats already in your lineup, is strictly better. The "+N more" in the table marks effects where several combos tie at the top value; the table shows the one with the fewest Cats, and the Cat Combos page lists the rest, so pick whichever fits Cats you already field.

One-Cat combos are free slots

A combo that needs a single Cat costs nothing extra in the lineup: fielding that Cat turns it on. Where one of those grants an effect you want, it is the cheapest combo bonus there is.
