Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle

Dokkan Battle: the Link Skills on the most cards

2 of 133 Link Skills sit on at least 900 cards each. The median Link Skill sits on 55.

The median Link Skill sits on 55. Fierce Battle, the most common of all, is on 1,195 cards, about 22× the median.

A Link Skill only fires when the card next to it carries the same link, so how many cards carry a link decides how often it is active in a real team. A strong effect on a rare link does less work than a modest one on a common link.

The 10 Link Skills carried by the most cards, with what each grants at Lv.1 and at max level:

Those 10 links are 8% of all 133 Link Skills, and account for 37% of every link slot on every card.

5 of the 10 grant Ki at max level. Ki decides whether a card reaches its Super Attack, which is why the common Ki links matter more than their small ATK or DEF bonus suggests.

Same bonus, different names

Shattering the Limit, Prepared for Battle and The Saiyan Lineage all grant exactly Ki +2 and ATK & DEF +5% at max level. Between them they sit on 2,126 cards. For team building they are one bonus under 3 names: a pair of cards sharing any one of them gets the same result, but only the shared name counts, not the matching effect.

The long tail

61 of the 133 Link Skills are on fewer than 50 cards. The rarest, Unbreakable Bond, is on 3. A link like that is only ever active between the few cards designed to pair with each other, so it is a property of that pair, not something to plan a team around.

Using this when building a team

Common links pair by default

Two cards that share Fierce Battle or another link from the top of the table will usually link without any planning. When two cards look equal on paper, the one whose links sit higher on this list will link with more of your box.

Rare links need their partner

For a card whose best links sit in the long tail, check its partners before placing it. Those links do nothing next to the wrong neighbour, however strong the effect reads.

Check the individual card

These are counts across the whole roster. A single card's links, and which of your cards share them, are on that card's own page, and every link with its full effect and card count is on the Link Skills page.
