Background
William Tell (aka Wilhelm Tell) is a character from folklore said to have lived in the canton of Uri during the late thirteenth to early fourteenth centuries. He is best known for the story of having to shoot an apple placed atop his son's head as punishment of his own failure to bow to the Vogt's hat, which had been placed upon a pole. While William Tell is widely known as a character from a play, to the people of Switzerland, he is a hero who symbolizes the foundation of the country and its rebellion against tyranny.
Profile 1
Height/Weight: 175cm, 69kg Origin: "William Tell" Region: Switzerland Alignment: Lawful-Good Sub-Attribute: Human Gender: Male He only recently started smoking.
Profile 2
Just like his portrayal in the play, he is a brave man who stands up against tyrants who torture citizens. However, his actions were not intended to address a national or political crisis, but rather were undertaken for personal reasons. He simply acted as was expected of any hunter, father, and man, which eventually led him to become a just man. In short, he became a larger-than-life hero. He is a man who wholly embodies the concept of a patriarchal hero, where he possesses both the boldness and composure necessary to protect his family. He can be thoughtless one moment or affectionate the next, and he is frightening if angered.
Profile 3
The story of William Tell is famous, but the stories after he saved his son are not as well-known. When Tell was ordered to shoot the apple with a bolt, the evil Vogt Gessler knew that Tell concealed a second bolt other than the one he set on his crossbow. After Tell expertly hit the apple and saved his son's life, Gessler asked why Tell hid a second bolt. Tell responded, "If my first bolt hit something other than the apple, my second bolt was meant to kill you." This enraged Gessler and he arrested Tell, but Tell managed to escape en route to imprisonment. And so...in order to escape from the Vogt's revenge and to protect his sons from the Vogt's wrath, Tell did the only thing he could and was expected to do: he ambushed Gessler on horseback and shot a bolt through Gessler's heart. With the tyrant gone, peace was restored to the town, and Tell was lauded as a hero. And through this incident, Switzerland's movement for independence gained even more steam.
Profile 4
Aiming: EX A skill that represents the ability to aim projectile weapons. It can even hit an apple placed atop one's son. In addition to extreme concentration that can control even the user's breathing and heartbeat, the ability to unconsciously synchronize with the outside world enables the user to naturally achieve the desired result of striking his target, rather than merely firing at a target with the intent of hitting it. This is also the spiritual nature of Eastern archery as well.
Profile 5
『Apfel Schießen』 Rank: C NP Type: Anti-Personnel Range: 1 - 50 Maximum Targets: 1 Releasing the First Shot of Faith. Means "apple shooter." The legendary single shot that managed to pierce the apple atop Tell's son's head. The single shot that carried the son's full trust for his father and his ability to never miss, piercing the target without fail. The legendary story that sublimated into a Noble Phantasm even intervenes with the laws of causality, and it's normally impossible to evade.
Profile 6
『Zweite Schießen』 Rank: C+ NP Type: Anti-Personnel Range: 1 - 50 Maximum Targets: 1 Releasing the Second Best Shot. The secondary Noble Phantasm that gets unleashed in case the unmissable first Noble Phantasm misses. This is based on the legend of Tell hiding a second bolt to shoot the evil Vogt Gessler in case Tell missed the apple on top of his son's head. This bolt is released immediately after the first bolt misses. In other words, this is a Noble Phantasm that conceptually exists simultaneously with the first shot. This does not get activated if the first bolt properly hits. Tell's thought process is simply: "Everyone will die if I miss the (first target) apple, so if that happens, I'll need to shoot down the (second target) Vogt who gave the order," and the target is determined based on the situation. It can target the same object as the first shot, and it can similarly intervene with the laws of causality to hit the target without fail. However, rapid firing is difficult since this consumes excessive amounts of magical energy. Though, the first shot is said to always hit, and so this second shot situation is pretty rare.
