Sugitani Zenjubou was a talented sniper of the Sengoku period. In 1570, at the Rokkaku clan's request, he attempted to assassinate Oda Nobunaga, but was unsuccessful. History records that after three years on the run, Sugitani was finally caught by Isono Kazumasa and executed by gradual beheading. Aside from the attempted shooting, the only known records of him are as a famous marksman born in the Sugitani region.

While Sugitani Zenjubou's background is unknown, he was known as an expert marksman. So skilled was he that he was said even to be able to shoot a bird in flight. According to the "Chronicle of Nobunaga," Sugitani was hired by Rokkaku Yoshikata to assassinate Nobunaga. Though he executed his specialty of firing a double shot from twenty meters away, he failed. Zenjubou then fled and went into hiding for three years, but he was later captured and executed by sawing. He is open-minded, and he doesn't care if he's called a corrupt monk. He is essentially a professional and devotes him to seeing through whatever missions he begins. As a side note, Zenjubou's physical body is female because he met a mysterious sorcerer named Kashin Koji during his time on the run and requested a disguise. "I never said I wanted to look like THIS!!!"

Sniping Conditions: C A variant of Territory Creation. Just like a mage setting up a workshop, this skill allows the user to prepare an environment for sniping. If the skill is ranked C, the user will be capable of firing accurately beyond the limits of human and weaponry. Camouflaged Sniping: B Changes to a standby state intended for sniping and activates the camouflage ability, making detection by the naked eye difficult. As long as the user is not detected by a Mind's Eye of a higher rank or by a variant skill, attacks directed at them will miss. As time passes, the user's accuracy increases. However, the moment they attack, the camouflage state is removed.

『Two Shots Fired』 Rank: C+ NP Type: Anti-Personnel Range: 100 Maximum Target: 1 Futatsu Tama Nite Uchite Sourou. Futatsutama (two shots) is a technique of loading two bullets into a Tanegashima matchlock gun and firing them simultaneously to increase the accuracy and destructive power of the shot. Paired with ideal sniping conditions and being on standby, this becomes even more accurate. The attack may be prevented based on a LUK rank check, but as there are two shots, two separate checks must be made.

The encounter was entirely coincidental. While on the run, Zenjubou wandered into the mountains and encountered a mysterious karakuri girl with crystal clear eyes apparently capable of seeing through the darkness. At first, it seemed to be some sort of monster. In fact, it turned out to be Kashin Koji. By this point, Zenjubou was quite sick of being on the lam, and so Zenjubou begged Kashin Koji to change his appearance. Kashin Koji accepted readily enough, leaving Zenjubou feeling his luck was finally changing...only to then find his body had changed far more than he bargained for! "No refunds, no returns." "There's a cooling-off period!" ...Well, that conversation didn't actually happen. Either way, Zenjubou had no choice but to live with this new sex. Then again, Zenjubou got used to this new body rather quickly, which came as something of a surprise.

In Traum Summoned to make the Singularity disappear. Believing Zhang Jue was the key to the Singularity, Zenjubou infiltrated the Revenge Realm and make a name for himself as a sniper. An assassination of Zhang Jue was plotted, but Zhang Jue's cautious and watchful nature made it difficult for the plot to succeed, and so Zenjubou had no choice but to spend his days bored, doing nothing. However, Zenjubou found an opportunity to strike with the arrival of Chaldea and the invasion by the Righteous Realm. And while Zenjubou's assassination by sniping ended in failure, this misstep was factored in, and the Servants of the Righteous Realm used the opportunity created by Zenjubou to defeat Zhang Jue. The name Sugitani Zenjubou was never passed down through stories amongst others, but the sniper didn't regret a thing, and simply continued on his way.
