Uesugi Kenshin, Echigo's god of war, who was hailed as a righteous general of Japan's war-torn age. As the arbiter of the battlefield, she wielded power on par with Bishamonten. Her existence was so utterly foreign and extraordinary that one couldn't help but wonder if she really was the incarnation of a deity. It's well-known that Kenshin sent salt to her mortal enemy, Takeda Shingen of Kai. The battle of Kawanakajima, where she faced off against Shingen, has become the stuff of legend. She has manifested not as Nagao Kagetora, but as an arbiter of the battlefield, something that typically cannot happen. Perhaps that is why she refers to herself as Uesugi Kenshin. Her more suitable classes are Lancer, Rider, and Saber, but there is a reason she manifested not as any of those, but as a Ruler. From birth, she has been inhuman. She could never understand what it meant to be human. Even when she died, she remained something other than human. Things would have ended like that with the original Kagetora, but the unique environment of Chaldea enabled her to experience something that should not have been possible. Her First and Second Ascensions are similar to her usual Lancer form, but her Third Ascension boasts a truly majestic, even godly appearance as the avatar of Bishamonten. Bishamonten's treasured pagoda filled with sutras...blazing flame halos... This is a final Bishamonten form that goes beyond the definition of a mighty warrior. "I've left a chunk of my Eightfold Flourish behind, but my firepower's greatly increased, so please don't worry."

She never understood human emotions while she lived, but now that she has returned as an arbiter, she somehow started showing rich, human expressions. It's unclear how much had to be sacrificed just for her to be able to laugh, find joy, get angry, and feel sadness. But even so, her coming was meant to be. Could it be some divine providence, or perhaps irony, that led a godlike being to gain human emotions? Which is probably why she's a bit more playful in her Third Ascension form. She's even become curious and has started learning English. "Biten Eight Flourishes! Shiranui!"

Houzaishin: B The sixteen-clause family motto Uesugi Kenshin upheld, detailing how a general should carry themselves, which then in turn also came to be regarded as teachings of Bishamonten's avatar. Fortune, Armor, Victory: A An all-in-one skill that combines and amplifies one's power on the battlefield. It's a reflection of how serious Kenshin can get. White Flame: A The white flames that envelop Biten. They are intense enough that they can freeze things, while the cold divine flames can also scorch. Biten's Pagoda: C Two enormous pagodas bearing the names of Yashas and Rakshasa. Inside the pagodas are stored 84,000 teachings and twelve divisions of sutras, which govern great wisdom. 『Houshou Tsukige』 Kenshin's beloved horse is once again summoned, even though she is not a Rider. This horse demonstrates its own lawlessness on the battlefield and shows off the majesty of Bishamonten. This capable horse has transformed itself into a motorcycle to compete against a certain rival.

A Noble Phantasm that unsheathes a white sword that houses Bishamonten's power. Light descends from the heavens, imbued with the power of Bishamonten, and the divine sword cuts through everything with white flames. It is the god of war's prowess wielded by Biten. This sword is a sacred armament of the Takeda clan, called the Salt Embargo's Long Sword; it is said that Kenshin sent salt to Shingen after his salt supply was blocked, and the sword was given to her as a token of gratitude. It's unclear why Kenshin, who possessed a great many swords, chose this particular sword to be her Noble Phantasm, but it's understandable that this sword holds great personal significance for her. "Well, I just felt like putting it on display because it caught my eye." ...It's understandable... By the way, why is the Salt Embargo's Long Sword called Shiranui? "Huh? The Salt Embargo's Long Sword sounds lame. If Kenshin's going to wield it, it needs to have a cooler name, so that's what I came up with. Cool, right? Shiranui." ...This is truly the one and only sword of Uesugi Kenshin.

She never found that answer; she was unable to truly become what she wanted to be. Ultimately, she ended up with nothing. But that's not unusual, so let's just leave it there. After many twists and turns of fate, I became the avatar of Bishamonten. It's ironic that I finally understand humans now that I am no longer human. Ahahahahahaha! Did everyone's prayers finally reach the heavens? Was my form what everyone hoped for? No one knows anymore.
